I dont seem to have much muzzle rise per se. I have only gone full on rapid fire a couple times, as much rapid fire as one can get with an 18" rifle length gas system anyways. What was notable was that the barrel walked left during rapid fire more than anything. Regardless of what, which way or why; I want it to stay on target.
So to the point; I seem to need a comp that can push right and probably down a bit. What is peoples opinion on something like this. Is there any real down side to something Effin a mkii this?? ed Sep 10, I have no first hand experience with that comp, but the largest reduction in perceived recoil I've felt was switching buffer and spring to the jp silent capture spring.
It was definitely a noticeable improvement! Effin a mkii I heard those JP springs are really nice. I want one of those too. Its on my list. However, Im not worried about recoil at all. This is strictly about keeping the barrel moving straight back with nearly zero up down left right movement. I say nearly zero because no system is perfect. I want it so that I could dump a full mag in full auto one handed and not have the barrel move off target zero barrel movement type thing.
ed Nov 4, Dump a full mag in full auto one handed and not have the barrel move off target zero barrel movement? Although the comp is extremely effective, it will neither imbue you with superhuman nor magical powers. As per the instruction sheet: "This device is NOT intended to be a band-aid for an improper shooting position" That being said, I have one and love it.
It may Effin a mkii be magic, but the thing is pretty amazing. It does what it does VERY well. With proper tuning it can hold your muzzle nearly stationary. Setup will require a bit of trial and error. I put a laser on the gun and recorded video in slow motion so I could actually visualize the muzzle movement.
It should only take few screws to get it dialed in. I only blocked 5 out of the 24 ports. ed Jul 30, Sounds like this may be just the ticket for my Tavor. Here is a youtube vid on it. Looks like they have the original one and not the MKII. The MKII is a much slimmer lighter model. The mention of sparks has me concerned Effin a mkii to what could be causing it.
Do the alllen screws protrude into the comp? I cannot say about the original.
My guess is no. That would have been taken care of the first time it blew up in dev. The holes have a lip at the bottom so the screws bottom out. You just tighten them in and done. ed Jan 9, I use the Brakeout 2. If you don't won't spend the coin on Jp silent spring the Geissele braided spring has the same effect.
