A part of Nottingham once home to wealthy people and known for its grand Victorian houses has been recognised for decades as the city's red light district. Reporter Jamie Barlow spoke to conservationists and historians about the journey of Forest Road West. Although it is unknown exactly when the "quarter" surrounding Forest Road West began to be used by sex workers, this developed after the end of the Second World War as homes were converted into flats. Photographic historian Graham Woodward, who knows the area well having lived in nearby Southey Street for a while, explains the end of the war in led to a shift in the people living in the area, located near the Forest Recreation Ground and Arboretum.
